Hallelujah!! I have my first room officially DONE! With the exception of a bench for the footboard of our bed and I’m still trying to decide if I want one there or not. In the new house I really went outside my comfort zone and went with a neutral color scheme. But as I get older, my taste become more neutral. I am loving the gray walls with all the gray and yellow accents. However I still love my black furniture.
In my bedroom houses all of our cherished memories. From our wedding photo’s to our boys on our nightstands. I wanted to keep this space more about us. The black shelves holds my wedding bouquet, pictures of my husband and I, bibles that are our family members that are no longer with us. I felt that the master bedroom required a more intimate and personal touch where as the rest of the house is more about my kids.
The number one rule in my house is always make your bed when you wake up.
I wanted to keep my nightstand free of clutter with the exception of the book I’m reading and my guys!
Adding a few pops of color via the picture frames and vase help a neutral room. The flowers give it a little feminine touch without going to girly.
Once again, my husbands nightstand is free from clutter.
